At least three people are dead in Athens, Tenn. after a lone gunman opened fire inside a factory on Thursday, according to a local report.

The unidentified shooter shot and killed the manager of a Thomas and Betts plant building inside the manager’s office about 4 p.m. before fatally shooting two other employees in the main part of the plant, the Daily Post-Athenian reports.

McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy told WVLT that the suspect is down, although it’s unclear if the shooter is dead or in custody.

No additional details were immediately available, although officials planned to address the shooting during a news conference later Thursday.
