The 35-year-old right-hander, who had a 4-1 record with a 4.50 ERA in 56 relief appearances for the Boston Red Sox last year, signed a one-year, $3.25 million deal with the Hawks, Kyodo news agency reported Thursday. Padilla, a native of Nicaragua, was an MLB All-Star in 2002 with the Philadelphia Phillies, when he had a 14-11 record with a 3.28 ERA. <!– google_ad_section_end –>
