Ikea expands meatball recall to Hong Kong

<!– google_ad_section_start –> Swedish furniture giant Ikea, entangled in Europe’s widening meat scandal, withdrew meatballs from stores across Europe and in Asia, including Hong Kong, amid suspicions that they contained horsemeat. The company reacted after authorities in the Czech Republic said they had detected horse DNA in tests of 1kg packs of frozen meatballs that were labelled as beef and pork. The Czech State Veterinary Administration said it tested two batches of Ikea meatballs and only one of them contained horsemeat. It did not say how much. <!– google_ad_section_end –>
