Reports surfaced last week that Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen was punched hours after the Fighting Irish lost a double-overtime game to UConn . Later in the week Clausen appeared at practice with a black visor covering his face . In Notre Dame’s Saturday night loss to Stanford , photos of the quarterback’s face showed the extent of his black eye
