video: 8 Billion U.S. for a high-speed rail between L.A. and Las Vegas versus more money into the shit hole that is the U.S. AUTO Industry?

I vote for Vegas, Baby. And here’s why it will actually create jobs in both the short and long-term as opposed to the black hole that our U.S. auto industry has devolved into. I’m sick of Michigan whining about how we have to keep propping up the over-paid and over benefitted bloated auto industry.
I’m also sick of the 100 percent Republican bullshit that President Obama didn’t attempt a bipartisan approach to the stimulus bill and the on the air moronic remarks the Republicans have been making put it all on President Obama as if they’re incapable of crossing the aisle. Blah, blah, blah change is happening and President Obama inherited an economy in nothing but a downward spiral plus 8 years of putting everything and then some of Uncle Sam’s credit card. So, the Repulicans needs to shut the hell up and just stop. President Obama will include as much as they annoited leader Rush Limbaugh will allow.
President Obama actually walks his talk, he didn’t have months or even weeks to keep hashing this out while our economy and financial markets are tanking – the Republicans were listened to the proof is in the tax cut ideas section of the stimulus bill, there are ideas that come straight out of President Obama’s meeting with the Republicans on the Hill.
And jumping back to high-speed rail, we need to move in this direction and fast! It makes nothing but sense to put in a system that will take us from coast to coast, city-to-city and town-to-town in other words we have to build a high-speed rail system that covers the entire country. The money needs to be spent, I’d rather see the government sheparding and funding along with the private sector to put in a high-speed rail system that works together so the trains can go across the country. These trains are in use, yes we love our cars but we never should have killed off our passenger rail system and the time is here to build a modern rail system that helps the country in both the short and long term.
So, Republicans and big, mouth, moronic Rush Limbaugh need to encourage your people to support their President, you can’t whine for jobs, a better, robust economy and a strong, respected nation abroad without everyone being on board, Republicans, Democrats and Independents.
Watch this video of an animation showing how the high-speed rail will interface via the Sacramento, CA station. I lived in CA for over 20 years and I loved taking the train from L.A. down to visit my friend in San Diego, so I’m even more in love with the idea of being able to take a high-speed train between Los Angeles and San Francisco; this is a brilliant idea and our entire country should benefit from California’s lead here. Watch this really cool animation. If the high-speed rail goes in between L.A. and Las Vegas I can fly into L.A. to see friends and take the rail to Las Vegas, at least until our whole nation’s webbed with high-speed rail that is.
