The problem of rhino poaching continues to grow, with poaching levels at 15-year highs. Part of the reason according to WWF is rising demand in Asia, where the horn is used in traditional Chinese medicine, but Mongabay points out an undoubted contributing factor. Rhino horn is now worth more than gold.

As part of CNN’s coverage of Michael Jackson’s death, Anderson Cooper told a story about going to Studio 54 when he was 10 with Jackson and other friends. “When I was 10, for some odd reason, I went to Studio 54 with Michael Jackson and a bunch of people and I had no idea who he was and I saw him dance and I was like, Oh, that guy is a really good dancer.” Later, he tantalizingly added: “Why I was at Studio 54 is a whole other story..
