There’s been a scramble to snap up domain names for the Internet’s newest designation — .xxx — but not necessarily from those you’d expect. Adult sites have reserved their spot in the newly labeled section of the Web, but so have companies, charities, celebrities and politicians. Try “ barackobama.xxx ,” “ angelinajolie.xxx ” or “ redcross.xxx ” and you’ll find yourself faced with a black screen with gray type stating: “This domain has been reserved from registration.” In other words, someone’s made sure those brand names are protected from the association with porn. When it comes to warding off premature death, how fit you are may be more important than how much you weigh. Research published Monday afternoon in Circulation, the Journal of the American Heart Association followed 14,358 middle-aged men (median age 44) over 11.4 years. Those who became more fit (according to measurements of aerobic intensity on a treadmill) or maintained fitness were at lower overall risk of death and also of dying from cardiovascular disease during the followup period. Things have improved since the worst of the recession, but states still face a dire fiscal situation, according to a report to be released Tuesday by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the National Association of State Budget Officers (NASBO). The CMA Awards ceremony Wednesday was a homecoming of sorts for Faith Hill. After a five-year absence from the CMA stage, the 44-year-old singer debuted her new single, “Come Home.” She was welcomed back with a standing ovation. It’s been over a decade since Hill won a Country Music Association Award, taking home female vocalist of the year in 2000. Her last album, a Christmas record, was released in 2008. Sharon Bialek accuses Herman Cain of sexual harassment as she sought help getting a job

Sharon Bialek, a Chicago woman who worked at the National Restaurant Association in the mid1990s has come forward to say that Herman Cain sexually harassed her while she was looking for a job.
