William McQuain , the 11-year-old Germantown boy found dead after he went missing for two weeks, was killed by his mother’s estranged husband who slammed a baseball bat into his head, Montgomery County prosecutors alleged Thursday. The suspect, Curtis Lopez , has been charged with killing William’s mother, Jane McQuain. He has not been charged in connection with William’s death, but prosecutors said they will file charges. Two young children died in separate incidents in which they were found unresponsive in bathtubs in Prince George’s County on Monday night and Tuesday morning, authorities said.
