Car bomb kills seven outside police headquarters in Kandahar

KABUL — At least five Afghan police officers and two civilians were killed Sunday when a car bomb was detonated outside the main police headquarters in Kandahar, officials said. Explosion at nuclear site in southern France kills 1, injures 4; no radiation leaks reported

PARIS — One person died and another was seriously injured in an explosion Monday in a site that treats nuclear waste in southern France, the country’s nuclear safety body said, adding that no radioactive leaks have been detected.
