A week ago, Standard & Poor sent out an erroneous message to some subscribers saying that it was downgrading France’s triple-A rating. The mistake rocked global markets for two hours before the S&P managed to clear up the confusion. Yesterday, it happened all over again when S&P mistakenly informed subscribers that it was upgrading Brazil’s credit rating to BBB-.
