Voters of America, President Obama has made you a mix. The president shared a Spotify playlist on his Facebook page Thursday: 29 tunes that he’ll be pumping on the campaign trail between now and Nov. 6. There are songs from artists you’d expect ( Bruce Springsteen ), artists you wouldn’t ( Ricky Martin ) and artists that are actually from Canada ( Arcade Fire .) Read full article > >

Listen close after a Mitt Romney rally, and you’ll hear a soundtrack with a very un-Romney-like tone. Romney’s main theme song for this campaign is a bland, upbeat anthem: “Born Free,” by Kid Rock. But, after his speeches, Romney plays music with an angrier edge. Read full article > >

Newt Gingrich’s campaign remains roughly $600,000 in debt, two months after it reported deep debts and a long list of creditors, newly released campaign spending records show. Fundraising by the former House speaker’s campaign has stepped up markedly since then and Gingrich just last month cut by half the $1.2 million owed in October 2010. Still, several outstanding creditors remain. Read full article > >

One important assumption for President Obama’s reelection now seems in jeopardy: His predicted fundraising advantage has not yet materialized. While the reporting is not complete, it appears that Obama’s campaign fundraising and Mitt Romney’s are about on par. Moreover, despite Romney’s expensive primary campaign, his campaign cash position is only slightly less robust than the president’s. Read full article > >
