And then there were five … which made for a feisty evening of misstatements. We focused on 11, and may come back for more later in the week. Let’s take them in the order in which they were made. “As [House] speaker, I came back, working with President Bill Clinton. We passed a very Reagan-like program: less regulation, lower taxes. Unemployment dropped to 4.2 percent. We created 11 million jobs.” Read full article > >

For 40 years, the Redskins have thrown away high draft picks like they were cheap lottery tickets. In half those seasons, Washington didn’t even have a first-round pick. Tianna and Tierra Hawkins had been teammates for most of their lives. Except for the one summer when they were on separate AAU teams, the fraternal twins from Clinton played together through their years at Riverdale Baptist High. In college, however, the sisters went their separate ways. Tianna ended up at Maryland , while Tierra went to Delaware State . Both have flourished. Tianna averages a double-double for the fifth-ranked Terrapins, and Tierra leads the Lady Hornets in scoring and rebounding. Read full article > >
