When I travel abroad, which I do frequently for work, I try to run every day for an hour. It gives me energy and a great look at my new surroundings. After starting a run in Manila recently, I stopped three minutes into it. My breathing was shallow and labored. I also had nagging pain in my calves. SALT LAKE CITY — A 64-year-old man who broke his leg while hiking crawled through the Utah desert for four days near Canyonlands National Park before rangers rescued him. PHOENIX — Matthew Salenger etched 54 phrases in a circular piece of steel, building Arizona’s Sept. 11 memorial one story at a time. He wanted everyone’s story to be told. Phrases like “10:28 a.m. WTC North Tower Collapses” stated undisputed facts. Then there was “Must Bomb Back” and its polar opposite: “You Don’t Win Battles of Terrorism With More Battles.”  Gary Bird, a businessman and Arizona’s sole Sept. 11 victim, was listed. Workers Enter Japan Nuclear Reactor Building
