Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

My workplace fitness resolution

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

I’m not saying my co-workers are fat. In fact, a fair number of them are toothpick skinny — including, unfairly, the guy who brings in his latest cupcake creation every other day. Many of them are also super-active, always running, biking and yoga-ing in their free time. Read full article > >

Fitness matters more than fatness, study suggests

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

When it comes to warding off premature death, how fit you are may be more important than how much you weigh. Research published Monday afternoon in Circulation, the Journal of the American Heart Association followed 14,358 middle-aged men (median age 44) over 11.4 years. Bent out of shape over viewer-health analysis and fitness projects

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

Good news for those TV watchdog groups: Long before Americans go blind watching all that smut on television, they are going to die from watching all that television. That’s according to an analysis of eight studies on the subject published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association and brought to our attention by Health.com. Investment fraud isn’t relegated to Wall Street: Beware the Ponzi schemer next door

Sunday, May 8th, 2011

John McKenney’s a smart guy. A lawyer and tax expert, McKenney left Washington a few years ago and moved to Sarasota, Fla. He got a tan, took up yoga, started dating a well-heeled local woman.
