NEW YORK (Reuters) – The good times may be over for U.S. discounters, even as recession deepens. After a year of winning over shoppers and investors, low-priced retailers could see their momentum stall in 2009 as they cycle through tough comparisons on financial results. Market interest is also expected to shift to other retailers who are performing very poorly now but might start to outperform in 2010.
