Rock of Ages Eyes Mary J. Blige, Tom Cruise The Rock of Ages movie adaptation is beginning to take some shape, with producers apparently interested in bringing on Mary J. Blige to star in what would only be her second feature film. It’s not yet known who the hip-hop/R&B artist will play from the stage musical, though reports indicate that she may play Justice, a strip club owner who gives our small-town aspiring singer a job after she’s forced to leave the Bourbon Room club. Additionally, Tom Cruise is still rumored to be interested in taking on a role. Sources claim he wants to play Stacee Jaxx, who’s a loud-and-proud rocker with long, curly hair who wears tight pants and likes to belt out 80s tunes.
