The Solar Impulse, an aircraft with ambitions of being the first solar-powered plane to fly around the world, recently completed its first runway tests in Switzerland. See the plane in action in the videos below. The plane weighs about as much as car (approximately 3,527 pounds), boasts a 207-foot-long wingspan (equivalent to that of most commercial jets), and has 11,628 solar cells attached to its wings, according to the New York Times

David Wright Released From Hospital After Being Hit By 94 MPH Fastball

NEW YORK — Mets All-Star David Wright is out of the hospital a day after getting hit in the helmet by a pitch from San Francisco’s Matt Cain. Team spokesman Jay Horwitz said Sunday that Wright had a headache and was experiencing “post-concussion symptoms” after he was released from the Hospital for Special Surgery. Wright was hit squarely in the helmet by a 94 mph fastball from Cain in the fourth inning Saturday.
