Trump offers his impressions of Romney, Perry and Bachmann

Monday, December 5th, 2011

It might be true that no American has spent more one-on-one time with the leading Republican presidential candidates than Donald Trump. The real estate mogul and reality show host has devoted the second half of this year to fashioning himself as the single most important potential endorser in the GOP sweepstakes. The candidates have cycled through his offices at Trump Tower to ask for his support, and he has cycled through Fox News’s anchors talking about it. Thoughts that go bump in the night

Monday, November 28th, 2011

“What keeps you up at night?” is a standard question asked by management consultants. What if we asked that same question of the campaign managers of the leading candidates in the presidential race? From the tone of their endorsement, I would bet on shock and awe for Romney from New Hampshire’s leading newspaper. Read full article > >

People who collect contemporary art often pretend to be savants of culture. They strut about in the belief that they possess a unique combination of resources and wisdom that enables them to support the leading edge of civilization. Baloney. More often than not their cultural pursuits are as high-minded as day trading, and their collecting as effective at achieving meaningful change as pitching pennies into a well. Read full article > >
