A scientific study from the Netherlands has concluded that heterosexual men experience diminished intellect when in the presence of attractive women. The experiment was conducted after one Dutch scientist found himself in such a situation and could not recall his own address. Talk about sloppy science! The guy had reached his conclusion before the experiment began. Then, acting on that bias, he slandered an entire gender as hapless feebs, enslaved by their libidos. I decided the issue required more rigorous testing, and devised an experiment of my own. Germany, Netherlands, Finland favor strengthening IMF role as they improve euro defenses

BERLIN — The finance ministers of Germany, the Netherlands and Finland say they favor an “enhanced and strengthened” role for the International Monetary Fund as they seek to boost Europe’s defenses against the debt crisis. ROTTERDAM, Netherlands — Dutch police say Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman has been stabbed to death and his brother has been arrested as a suspect. LEIDSCHENDAM, Netherlands — Prosecutors analyzed a vast network of telephone records to link four Hezbollah members to the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, but there is no clear smoking gun in the case, according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday. The special court investigating Hariri’s murder unsealed the 47-page indictment against four members of the Iranian-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah for alleged involvement in the deadly truck bombing that killed Hariri. Mladic tells war crimes court does not want to enter pleas to ‘obnoxious charges’ against him

THE HAGUE, Netherlands — Ratko Mladic defiantly refused on Friday to enter pleas to what he called “obnoxious” allegations that as the Serb military chief during the Bosnian war he orchestrated the worst atrocities of a conflict that claimed 100,000 lives. He claimed he was defending “my people and my country.” Appearing in a U.N. courtroom shielded by bulletproof glass 16 years after he was first indicted, Mladic told the Dutch presiding judge he was “gravely ill,” but would only give details of his health out of earshot of the public.
