With nearly three years to go before the 2012 presidential election, President Obama’s hold on the White House appears to be in jeopardy, according to the results of a Gallup Poll released Wednesday. Registered voters nationwide favor Obama by a slim margin — 44 percent to 42 percent — over a generic Republican candidate.

Tuesday night, Olbermann appealed on behalf of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Storm Relief Emergency Assistance, an organization meant to help what Olbermann described as a “humanitarian crisis at home.” “Two weeks ago, the reservations of the Dakotas were hit by blizzards and ice storms.
