Amid the “will she or won’t she” speculation about former Alaska governor Sarah Palin ’s 2012 presidential plans , one important thing seems to be getting lost: Palin is simply not a top-tier candidate. New numbers from a CNN/Opinion Research poll confirm it. In a hypothetical 2012 Republican primary, Palin stood at 7 percent — tied with businessman Herman Cain and Texas Rep.
