Dealing with a panic attack right away is important instead of ignoring it so knowing the signs of anxiety attacks is helpful information. Experiencing one of these episodes can be uncomfortable and even unpleasant as they can be disruptive to your daily routine. Here are 3 signs that you may be experiencing an anxiety attack and tips to help overcome the feeling.
1. They can happen at literally any time
Pinpointing an exact cause of these attacks are often difficult as they can occur when you least expect whether you’re at the mall or out shopping. Common signs that you may be having a panic attack include feelings of dizziness and even high levels of anxiety. Situations or events can trigger an attack so it’s important to be able to identify the cause so you can effectively overcome it.
2. High levels of anxiety
The next common signs are feeling high levels of anxiety in addition to worrying excessively to the point where it can disrupt your daily routine. Anticipation of what could happen is often a reason of why such episodes can occur when faced with a particular situation or an event. When you start to realize that the worst case scenario is unlikely to happen or have very slim chances of occurring, you can learn to overcome these feelings.
3. Constant fear that something bad will happen
Many people will tend to avoid or escape from situations where they fear the worst will happen but this doesnt do anything to solve the problem. If you are afraid of making speeches in front of a crowd, then you can ask for your friend’s help as you learn to overcome this particular fear and will help to reduce symptoms. Learning to cope with panic attacks starts when you come to the understanding that nothing bad will happen to you.
Recognizing these signs are important and is recommended that you see a doctor so they can rule out any physical conditions that may be triggering anxiety. Conquering your fears and facing your panic attacks may seem overwhelming at first but it does take time.

Even the simplest everyday tasks can prove a challenge if you are someone who suffers from panic attacks. However through learning about controlling panic attacks a person is in a much stronger position to deal with them should an attack occur. There are certain things that as a sufferer of panic attacks you can do and below we look at what some of these are.
One of the first things that you need to do in order to getting control of panic attacks is that you are actually in no danger. Even though you may think you are losing control when an attack happens this really isn’t the case. What is actually happening is that your body is responding to what it sees as a threat that actually isn’t there.
The symptoms of a panic attack are a way of the person’s body releasing energy which will then be used by them to either remain and face what is happening or to get away from it as quickly as possible. In some cases people feel as if they are going crazy or having a heart attack, when they are not and this is because their mind is sending the wrong signals out. So in order to control panic attacks one needs to learn to retrain the mind to produce more positive rather than negative thoughts.
Something else you can do when you feel a panic attack starting is to go for a walk. Again this is a great way to burn off that excess energy your body is producing along with adrenaline. Along with the brisk walk helping to get rid of the excess energy your mind will start having to think about other things as well.
If you cannot go for a walk when you feel a panic attack happening then find something that you can do which will occupy your mind instead. Anything is fine including listening to music, as what you want to do is actually stop yourself thinking about the situation that has caused the panic attack to start in the first place.
