1 man killed after car swerves in Home Depot parking lot in Hyattsville

One man was killed and six others were injured after they were hit by a car in a Home Depot parking lot in Hyattsville on Thursday, authorities said. Three other men remained hospitalized in serious condition after they were hit in the parking lot on East-West Highway, according to Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue authorities. Seven hurt after they were hit by car in Md. parking lot

Seven people were hurt after they were hit struck by a car in a Home Depot parking lot, authorities said. At least two sustained life-threatening injuries after they were hit in the parking lot on East-West Highway in Hyattsville, according to Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue authorities. Spotsylvania man inadvertently shoots self in Giant parking lot

A Spotsylvania County man inadvertently shot and killed himself Sunday in the parking lot of a Giant food store where he and his family had gone to return a movie, authorities said. The 45-year-old man apparently reached down to buckle or remove his seatbelt and inadvertently pulled the trigger on a Glock 40-caliber handgun he was carrying, said Capt. When a new Whole Foods store opened in North Bethesda recently, shoppers found their familiar organic laundry detergent and curried wheatberry salad, but something new caught many by surprise: underground parking. Those accustomed to pulling into a vast parking lot and walking directly into the former Whole Foods six miles up Rockville Pike suddenly had to navigate a cavernous two-level garage before boarding elevators or escalators to reach the store entrance. But for now, a few copies of “Hardcore Chopper” magazine and a sign that reads: “Harley Davidson Motorcycle Parking Only” are the only visible signs of an operating business.

Mother describes seeing toddler before fatal fall at Tysons

Kathlyn Ogdoc remembered that she held the door open for her 2-year-old daughter and her mother as they headed from the food court at Tysons Corner Center to the parking lot. When Ogdoc looked back, she saw her mother scoop up the toddler, Angelyn, as if to keep up with the other adults.
