More Than 500 Dead in Turkey
ERCIS, Turkey — Officials say the death toll in the powerful earthquake that hit eastern Turkey is now 432. The prime minister’s office on Tuesday also said 1,352 people were injured in Sunday’s 7.2-magnitude quake. Earlier, rescuers pulled out a 2-week-old baby girl, her mother and grandmother alive from the rubble of an apartment building. The quake has toppled some 2,000 buildings in the mainly Kurdish area.
