Wizards vs. Celtics: Flip Saunders ejected as Washington stays winless

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

BOSTON — The Washington Wizards arrived at TD Garden without a win. And within two minutes of their game against the Boston Celtics, they were without their head coach. David Fincher’s ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ is satisfying and underwhelming

Monday, December 19th, 2011

“ The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo ” is one of this season’s buzziest movies, as hotly anticipated by its partisans as any installment of “Harry Potter” or “Twilight.” Like Harry and “Twilight’s” Bella Swan, the title character of Stieg Larsson’s best-selling novels has grown into a literary cult figure of freakish devotion. Redskins have longest active turnover streak in NFL

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

The bookend plays of the Washington Redskins’ most recent loss to the New England Patriots also could bracket their season. In the first quarter, quarterback Rex Grossman dropped back to pass in his own end zone, was drilled by New England defensive end Andre Carter, dropped the football and yielded a touchdown. In the fourth quarter, trailing by just seven points, Grossman looked for veteran wide receiver Santana Moss inside the Patriots 5-yard line.
