Washington Redskins running back Tim Hightower will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee, Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday. Hightower, who started five of six games this season and leads the Redskins with 321 rushing yards and a touchdown on 84 carries, suffered the injury in the third quarter of Washington’s 33-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers Sunday.
