COLUMBUS, Ohio — After 40 minutes it looked as though the Washington Capitals might end 2011 with a whimper against the worst team in the NHL . A furious third-period comeback instead launched Washington into 2012 with its first three-game winning streak since October. Three goals in the span of 2 minutes 53 seconds erased a two-goal deficit and fueled the Capitals to a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night at Nationwide Arena. Finally, some “Dancing With the Stars” controversy. It’s been a relatively quiet season, but the blogosphere lit up Tuesday after Maks and Len exchanged harsh words Monday night. Len said Maks and Hope’s dance was the worst of the season; Maks said Len should get out of the dance industry. Oh, and Maks added that “this is my show,” which surely went over great with his fellow pro dancers. Read full article > >
