Vote Early, Get Counted

I was reading an article at www.cnn.com and found an interesting article about early voting in this election.  More than 24.4 million Americans have taken advantage of the opportunity to vote early in this election and it’s not sitting well at all with the Republican Party.  You see, the success of early voting in this election has Conservatives very nervous.  They can’t threaten you with being arrested at the polls if you have an outstanding parking ticket if you vote early.  They can’t send you a letter in the mail telling you that voter turnout is expected to be so high, the state had to extend the voting period… Republicans will vote on Tuesday and Democrats can go vote on Wednesday.  Early voting takes the ’fraud’ out of election fraud and the Republicans, so good at committing election fraud are livid!

The Federal government is actually considering permitting early voting on a national level.  I voted at the County Courthouse on Friday and people were 12 deep at the 5 available voting booths in our little courthouse.  It was positively gratifying to see.  But again, Conservatives can’t intimidate voters when they vote early or vote absentee, and the Feds don’t think the states should be demanding a reason to vote early.  Where I voted I either had to be travelling, sick, in jail and not yet convicted or had to state it was for religious reasons.  I stated it was for religious reasons because I’m praying like hell Obama wins and the government can’t question you further when you state it is for religious reasons.  The Conservative want a ‘great national debate’ over this to discuss just what election DAY means.  I’ll tell you – it means it’s so much harder for them to steal elections and intimidate minority voters.  If politicians were really interested in making sure we had fair and impartial elections, elections would not be held on Tuesday!  Elections should be held over the weekend when the majority of people aren’t working.  It should be two days so peoople can vote at their leisure.  Ballots should be simple – 2 names and a box where you place an ‘X’ and every box is counted by several people to make sure it’s correct.  They do it all over Europe.  The do it in Canada.  Why can’t we simplify the process?

Until it’s proven that the Democrats have systematically figured out a way to dispense with all morality and steal several elections in a row, it will never happen.  As long as elections can be bought and stolen, free elections in America are a joke.  If you are lucky enough to vote in a state that permits early voting, please, get there today.  Our freedom depends on you.
